The School Where Childhood Matters

We believe in nurturing the whole child. At Valley School, we prioritise not only strong academics but also social-emotional growth, helping children develop confidence, empathy, and resilience. Our students build real skills in reading, math, science, and social studies through hands-on work, deep curiosity, and the kind of community where every child belongs. They learn to navigate friendships and express themselves in a supportive environment.

Small Community. Big Belonging.

Why Families Choose Valley

Valley is more than a school; it’s a community that feels like home. Teachers partner closely with parents, and each child is known by name, strengths, and story. Students build confidence and skills by doing: tackling challenges that stretch them, asking clarifying questions, offering their perspectives, and considering their impact on others.

Relationships are strong

Community is our superpower: families feel known here, and students feel safe to take risks, lead, and try again.

Learning at Every Stage

From our youngest learners to graduating 5th graders, Valley’s curriculum grows with your child, always grounded in play and always building toward what comes next.

Preschool & Pre-K

Our youngest students learn through movement, story, and discovery, building the social and academic foundations that will carry them forward.

Kindergarten

A joyful, supportive start to elementary school, kindergarten work hard and play hard, building strong foundations for literacy, numeracy, and community.

1st-2nd Grade

As first and second graders' skills deepen, so does their love for school. Reading, writing, math, and social studies that come alive through themes that connect subjects and spark questions kids actually want to answer.

3rd-5th Grade

Older students take on more independence, deeper projects, and bigger ideas, leaving Valley ready for middle school and genuinely excited to get there.

Hear from Our Community

  • Like a lot of parents of August-born boys, my son wasn’t ready for kindergarten but had outgrown daycare. Pre-K at Valley was the ideal solution: huge amounts of outdoor space to release his over-abundant energy so that he can sit still, intellectual stimulation with the astonishing Jill and Katherine as teachers, and all while giving him more time to develop. Now he’s only having to cross the breezeway to his kindergarten classroom so he’s moving up with not only the academic and social emotional skills he needs but with the confidence of being in an environment he knows and trusts. And there are chickens to say hello to every morning! Just perfect.

  • “We knew at the time how special a Valley School education was, but I feel it even more now. Valley helps kids learn to fall in love with learning, rise to a challenge, navigate difficult situations, and lead with empathy. Our changing world needs these skills both now and for a healthy future.”

  • “We are so thankful that our daughter got to experience a Valley education. I truly believe it’s a place where kids learn to fall in love with learning, and that’s a great launching point for all future challenges and growth.”

  • “Our family has so appreciated the warm and inclusive environment of Valley Coming from a Montessori school for pre-K, it was a wonderful lateral transition in terms of culture and emphasis on experiential learning and creative problem-solving while fostering each child’s individual strengths. Valley staff are not only great at teaching kids but alsowonderful communicators and take as much time as a family needs with updates or brainstorming strategies to help kids get the most out of lessons or navigate the normal social and emotional ebbs and flows of kindergarten. It’s not only the individual teachers and the classroom specialists who support kids at Valley, but the entire staff gets to know each child and vice versa. We love Valley!”

  • The Valley School has been such a positive part of our children’s educational journey, providing a warm, supportive community where they were truly known. All of the teachers helped them develop confidence, independence, and a strong academic foundation while preparing them for the transition to middle school. In addition, Valley’s thoughtful guidance and support throughout the middle school placement process made the transition feel manageable. We are incredibly grateful for the strong foundation Valley gave both of our boys for middle school and beyond!
