Academics
Our Program
Days at The Valley School are full of opportunities for children to investigate the world around them, create individually and in groups, and build friendships. Valley teachers guide students through experiences that feed children’s curiosity and are full of challenge, adventure, and fun.
We know that children learn by doing as well as from adult instruction and peer interactions. In every grade children learn through hands-on investigation, teacher-led instruction, and dynamic peer groupings, which take into account not only the learning goals but also a child’s particular needs and interests.
The Valley School curriculum is presented through a variety of themes that integrate lessons in language, math, science, and social studies.

Preschool & Pre-K
Our youngest students learn through movement, story, and discovery, building the social and academic foundations that will carry them forward.

Kindergarten
A joyful, supportive start to elementary school, kindergarten work hard and play hard, building strong foundations for literacy, numeracy, and community.

1st-2nd Grade
Reading, writing, math, and social studies come alive through themes that connect subjects and spark questions kids actually want to answer.

3rd-5th Grade
Older students take on more independence, deeper projects, and bigger ideas, leaving Valley ready for middle school and genuinely excited to get there.
