The Application Process

Our admissions process is designed to help you learn about Valley and help us get to know your child and family. Valley serves a diverse population, and we are looking for children and families who will thrive in our community.

Applications Deadlines:

Sibling Applications Due

Sibling Admissions Decisions Released
January 14, 2027

Admissions and Financial Aid Decisions shared with Families

Applications received after January 14 will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Application Process Steps

  • 1 Get to Know Valley
    • Attend a Tour (Required)
    • Bring your Family to a Playdate (Optional)
    • Join us for an Open House & Playdate (Optional)
  • 2 Tell us about your child and family
    • Complete the following application steps on Ravenna (required)
      • Submit applicant and family pictures
      • Pay $75 application fee. Email Rebecca Klein to request a waiver.
      • Complete The Valley School and PSIS Parent Statements to describe your child
      • Delegate a Teacher Evaluation, if applicable
      • Submit current and previous year report cards (1st-5th Grade applicants only)
  • 3 Complete the following secondary application steps
    • Family Conversation (required): During this virtual meeting, you will get to share more in depth and recent information about your child and we are happy to answer questions that you have about Valley. Conversations will be held between January and March and families will register on Ravenna.
    • Child Visit (required): We look forward to getting to know your child in person. Group visits will be scheduled in February and March, and families will register on Ravenna.
    • Financial Aid Application (optional): The Valley school is committed to providing needs-based financial aid to qualifying families. To be considered, please complete an application through our financial aid platform, Clarity. More information about financial aid is on our Tuition and Financial Aid page.
